My CVS Iron Man 2 Trip

This went kind of as planned but I messed up and held up the line. Yikes!!

I bought the following:
4 Tampax Pearl @ $2.99 each =
1 Tide $5.99
1 Always $2.99 (I had forgotten to get this - so I had to run back and get it)
1 Natural Instincts $5.88

Total = $26.82

This allows me to get Iron Man 2 for $4.99 ($19.99 - $15)

Iron Man 2 $4.99

Total = $31.81 without tax.

Coupons and Ecbs I used:
$5 off 30
(4) $2 off Tampax
$2 off Always
$1.50 off Tide
$2 off Natural Instincts
$10 ecb

New Total = $5.16

I actually paid $15.16 because she already closed out the transaction before she took off the $10ecb so she gave me $10 in cash.

My Publix Trip

I went to Publix today only so I could purchase the items needed for the P&G Pink Good Cook's Hope Kitchenware Set. You need to purchase $25 worth of stuff in one transaction and then you can send away for a pink kitchenware set. I was so happy that I did not have to hunt down one of the claim forms for it. They actually had some.

I wanted to find a way to do the deal as cheap as possible and here is what I did:

5 Cover Girl Eye Shadows @ $2.99 each = $14.95
2 Tide Stain Booster @ $5.99 each = $11.98
Total = $26.93

Other items I bought that were unrelated:
Winnie The Pooh Book $2.33
2 Glade Plug Ins BOGO $5.49

Coupons I used:
(5) $2 off Cover Girl
(2) $3 off Tide
$5.49 off Glade (a bogo coupon)
$3 off 5 P&G products Publix coupon
Winnie the Pooh rang up at $3.34 so I got it for free!

New Total = $9.99!!

I will now fill out the form and send it along with the receipt for my kitchenware set.

I did this last year and I really liked the set. I haven't used it yet since I was waiting to use it when I moved. Which of course did not happen. :(

Is It Just Me?

Or do other people become space cadets when they have allergies?? My allergies are horrid this morning. Not so much with the sneezing etc. but just the feeling like crap and my head feeling funny. I was having issues with a runny nose this morning but it finally stopped. Luckily it was not one of those all day deals.

I totally messed up this morning 2 times!! I bought lotto tickets that I did not need to buy until next week (meaning I have doubles). Which won't be so bad if I actually win something. I also messed up at CVS and looked like a complete idiot. I held up the line and had to have them open up an additional line. I did apologise a million times and told them how sorry I was for being a complete moron.

It looks like it might be one of those days........

My Wags Trips ~ Total for Everything $4.85!!

I decided to do them all in one day and get them over with. I went ahead and did the 5th extra trip also which did not work as planned since the Carmex monthly deal is actually over. I may go do one more tomorrow and do the Hylands again.

I did these at 5 different stores. My stores do not allow multiple transactions. Luckily, I have loads of these stores going and coming from my home, work and my son's school.

1st Store

Hyland $4.99
Sandwich bags .99 cents
Coupons and RRs to use:
$1.50 off Hylands
$4RR
Total = .55 cents I forgot there is no tax on medicine.
Got back $5RR

2nd Store

Vaseline Sheer Infusion $5.99
Minus $5RR from previous purchase
New Total = $1.41
Got back $5RR

3rd Store

Emergen C $3.49
Sinux $6
Minus
$4 MC for Sinux
$5RR
Total = .49 cents Again no tax on medicine.
Got back $3.50RR Emergen C + $2RR Sinux

4th Store

Vaseline Sheer Infusion $5.99
Halloween Cup .13 cents (filler)
Minus
$3.50RR - $2RR
New Total = $1.05
Got back $5RR

5th Store

Emergen C $3.49
Carmex $2.99
Workbook .74 cents (I did not need to buy just wanted to)
Use 5RR + $1MC
Total = $1.35
Got back $3.50 RR from Emergen C The Carmex is no longer a RR deal :(

Total I spent = $4.85 with $3.50RR leftover. Total of products without tax = $34.80. So I saved over $29.95!

If the Carmex would have worked I would have made money. I could have returned it but I figured I would just keep it and use it towards my Christmas stuff.

I might go back and do the Hylands $4.99 + Halloween Cup .13 cents = $5.13 (w/tax?) minus $3.50RR and $1.50MC = .13 cents with $5RR back. Then maybe go back and get another body lotion since that stuff is really good and will make a nice addition to my Christmas gift bags. I will only have to pay $1.41 for it and get $5RR back.

My Wags Plans for the Week

There are loads of goodies for free or close to free after RRs.

Here are my plans and I hope they go as planned:

1st Store

Hyland $4.99
Sandwich bags .99 cents
Total after tax before coupons = $6.40
Coupons and RRs to use:
$1.50 off Hylands
$4RR
New Total = .90 cents
Get back $5RR

2nd Store

Vaseline Sheer Infusion $5.99
Total after tax before RR = $6.41
Minus $5RR from previous purchase
New Total = $1.41
Get back $5RR

3rd Store

Emergen C $3.49
Sinux $6
Total before coupons and rr's but after tax = $10.15
Minus
$4 MC for Sinux
$5RR
New Total = $1.15
Get back $3.50RR Emergen C + $2RR Sinux

4th Store

Vaseline Sheer Infusion $5.99
Halloween Cup .13 cents (filler)
Total before RRs and after tax = $6.55
Minus
$3.50RR - $2RR
New Total = $1.05
Get back $5RR

As you can see I could just keep doing this all week if I wanted. But I will probably stop at this 4th transaction. The $5RR will be saved for the following week.

I will spend out of pocket $4.51 but have leftover $5RR so I will actually make a profit of .49 cents. This is of course if each store I go to has the items I need.

So for less than $5 I will get all of the following:

2 Vaseline Sheer Infusions

1 Hyland Cough and Cold

1 Emergen C

1 Sinux

1 Walgreens Baggies

1 Halloween Cup

The total cost for the above without tax is $27.58.

*I may add 1 more trip:

Emergen C $3.49
Carmex $2.99 or $3.49?
Total $6.93 or $7.47
Use 5RR + $1MC = either .93 cents or $1.47
Get back $2RR Carmex and $3.50 RR from Emergen C
Carmex is no longer a RR deal!!

My Cheap Way to Get Iron Man 2 on Tuesday

I like getting my son movies for his birthday and Christmas since I get to also enjoy them. Well, even though my son isn't even 4 yet he is obsessed with any kind of super hero. I don't even really know how he knows about them (I am guessing preschool) since we don't get any tv channels. But he does and he LOVES them.

CVS has a deal for Iron Man this week and next (next week is with various food items) this week it is with various P&G products. Which I am hoping I may be able to use my purchase towards the Pink gift set of cooking items that was in the coupon insert if not I will use towards the $50 coupon booklet thingie.

Anyways here is what I am hoping to purchase on Tuesday:

4 Tampax Pearl @ $2.99 each = $11.96

1 Always Pad $2.99

1 Tide $5.96

1 Natural Instincts $5.88

Total before coupons and taxes = $26.79

How the Iron Man DVD will actually ring up tax wise I don't know. So I am not 100% sure what my total will be. I am guessing it will ring up $4.99 and the tax will be on that but not sure. That is why my total varies.

Add the Iron Man to this total $26.79 + $4.99 = $31.78

Add my tax and depending on how the tax situation works out it will either be around $35.05 or $32.85.

Coupons and ECBs to use:

$5 off $30 CVS coupon from email
$8 off Tampax Pearl (4 - $2 off coupons)
$2 off Always
$1.50 off Tide
$2 off Natural Instincts
$10 ecb
$4.99 ecb (will only have to use if total is $35.05)

My new total should be close to either $1.56 or $4.35.

So either way I will get all of the above including the DVD for less than $5. I might even have my $4.99 ecb leftover to buy something else this week or next. Now I could use the $4.99 ecb and have them lower it to $4.35 and lose the difference if I want but truthfully I do not mind spending $4 something of my own money for all of this stuff.

So I will have 4 boxes of Tampax, 1 Always pads, 1 Tide and 1 Natural Instincts plus the new Iron Man DVD for less than $5. Yeah, I think I know how to shop!! :)

Slow Cooker Sunday ~ Mexican Casserole

I decided to go with Mexican once again. This time I added refried beans and black olives. I definitely should have used more red sauce. Live and learn.

The ingredients:

Stack them like so:

Looks done to me:

Yummy:

Close up:

It was pretty tasty. But I am over my Mexican kick for awhile at least.

I Got My Disney Movies Today!!

I would take a picture of them but my son is here. He can't see them just yet. I cannot believe how quickly they came. I wish I could start watching them. :(

I hate not having any tv channels. I mean we seriously do not even get 1 with that box thingie and an antenne. They are just all pixelated and then the screen goes black. I miss being able to just sit on the couch and watch tv. Now I have to watch my tv shows online which is so uncomfortable. Though I am extremely grateful for USA networks to have their wonderful shows available to watch on their website. Yes, you have to wait a few days or is it a week after the show actually airs but who cares!

Anyways, I am so glad I got some Christmas and Bday presents out of the way with this order. I just ordered them on the 19th and it is only the 25th today. So happy to have them already.

Cheap Halloween Costumes!

I totally forget to let everyone know this. If you are looking for super cheap Halloween costumes then go to walmart.com. I was able to buy 4 for my son (I couldn't decide) for only $12 each!!

I bought him the following:

Toy Story Buzz Lightyear Child Halloween Costume; Size: S 4-6 $12.00

Toy Story Woody Child Halloween Costume; Size: S 4-6 $12.00

Marvel Classic Spider-Man Child Halloween Costume; Size: S 4-6 $12.00

Ironman Classic Mark 6 Child Halloween Costume; Size: S 4-6 $12.00

Subtotal: $48.00
Shipping: Free
Tax: $3.36
Total: $51.36

Choose site to store for free shipping!! I am going to see which one he wants to wear this year and then take the others back and get the next larger size. Unless they seem like they will fit for another year or two. We will see. I should have bought 2 in this size and 2 in the larger size but it was super early in the morning when I bought them (4am) so I was not thinking clearly.

Today Is a Good Day

I bought lots of goodies at Target and had no issues with coupons. Whoo hoo!!

I got a donut and a small iced coffee at Dunkin Donuts for $1.08. There was coupon for a free small coffee today only in Sunday's paper. I never ever treat myself so this was nice. They weren't even crowded at all.

I went and checked my mail and got loads of goodies! They included:

My free Shutterfly photo book.

My General Mills Get Together package filled with loads of goodies.

A free sample and loads of coupons for Downy.

4 coupons for free Simply Potatoes (I had bought them before and 3 out of the 4 were green and moldy ick!) so they sent me the coupons.

Publix Preschool Pals for my son.

Coupon Booklet from Glade.

Working Mother magazine (free subscription)

Disney Family Fun magazine (free subscription)

Elle Decor magazine (free subscription)

Bloomsburg Business magazine (free subscription) and yes, I read it.

And my mailman has yet to come to my house so who knows maybe more goodies will arrive today!

My Trip to Target Today

O.k. I was determined to go to Target and only buy 2 items. The new Tinker Bell movie and some Kandoo wipes. Well, we all know how well that works out.

This is what I bought:

Tinker Bell Movie BluRay and DVD $22.99

Kandoo $1.65

3 Halloween Socks @ $1 each = $3

3 Regular Socks @ $1 each = $3

2 Sesame Street Cups @ $1 each = $2

2 Sesame Street Bowls @ $1 each = $2

Halloween Card .99 cents

Total before coupons and taxes = $35.63

Coupons I used :

$1 off Kandoo

New total after coupons and taxes = $26.06 (before taxes = $23.63) which is a lot better though not super great. Of course most things I bought there would never be coupons for. I also got 4 Halloween items out of the way , 1 Xmas or Bday present (the DVD) and 3 pairs of socks to go in my son's Xmas stocking.

Also the coupons worked with no issues whatsoever!! Yay!! Not sure whether the coupon issue actually got fixed or I just got lucky (I am sure it is the latter).

Like I said if you plan to buy the Tinker Bell movie buy the BluRay & Dvd combo because when using the above coupon it is cheaper than buying the regular dvd one. I don't have a BluRay player but it does not matter because it comes with a normal dvd copy. So you can either hang on to the BluRay one, give it away or even sell it.

I do have to go back to Target either today or tomorrow and have them take the DVD out of the plastic security box that they and I forgot about. This was the first DVD I ever bought that had it on it. I came home and was trying to figure out how to get it out and then decided I better call them and ask. lol

Good Deal Alert!!! Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue

Target has the new Tinker Bell movie Blu Ray/DVD Combo for $22.99 and you can print a coupon for $10 off at Disney Movie Rewards. So you can pay only $12.99 plus tax for both a BluRay copy and a normal DVD copy which makes it cheaper than just buying the normal dvd copy! The normal dvd is $16.99.

To sweeten the deal even further you can also get a free charm and bracelet (just pay shipping and handling $2.85).

Even though this is more of a girlie movie I am going to go ahead and buy it. We don't have a BluRay player so I will more than likely sell the BluRay disc or maybe even offer it as a giveaway on here.

Xmas Shopping Done Easy

I love, love shopping online! It is super convenient and easy.

I have been trying to find a good deal on the dvds Toy Story 1 and 2. I searched everywhere online and didn't see any super great deals.

Sunday's Smart Source coupons 09/19 had a form to join Disney Movies. You got 5 movies for $1.99 each and had the option of buying 2 more to lessen your agreement. You also got free shipping on this order. O.k. I know, their movies cost more and the shipping is ridiculous. But I only have to buy 3 more movies in the next 2 years. I figure each movie will cost $20 plus $4 shipping (not sure of the actual costs). So I am looking at an additional $72. Hopefully way less.

This is what I order today. These will be both Xmas and Bday presents for my son.

Your shipment will include the following items:

Toy Story Special Edition (2010)

Toy Story 2 Special Edition (2010 Release)

Monsters, Inc.

G-Force

The Aristocats Special Edition

The Rescuers

Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas: 2-Disc Collector's Edition DVD + Digital Copy

*Subtotal $21.90
Shipping & Processing $0.00
*Total $21.90
*This amount includes the cost ($21.90) of the Promotional items you selected

I just got 7 movies for $3.13 a piece!!! So add the $72 (for the next 3) and it comes to $9.39 each for 10 movies (o.k not as great). Though of course I am just making up the cost for the additional 3 I have to buy. So this could vary. So again less than 10 bucks per movie is still a good deal.

This is a picture of my son with the same offer we recently received in the mail.

The funny thing about that picture (aside from the goofy face) is that he is the one who asked me to take a picture of him with that ad. Hmmmm....was he trying to get me to do a post of this and actually buy movies from there???

Slow Cooker Sunday

Slow Cooker Sunday sounds better than Crockpot Sunday, right? Even though I call it a crockpot.

Today I am attempting to make a sort of Apple Crisp. I am writing this as it is cooking. I hope that it turns out well. I haven't had Apple Crisp probably since I was in 8th grade and a friend of mine used to make it all the time. Yep, it's been that long. I don't recall myself ever making it nor anyone else in my family. Have no clue why. I always thought it was rather tasty.

The ingredients:
apples (I am using the precut kind since my son declared he no longer wanted them in his lunch)
cinnamon (not pictured)
brown sugar (Rolling Stones anyone?)
butter/ margarine (again not pictured and mine says buy before May 2010 yep, we never use margarine or butter ever apparently) it wasn't opened so that is why I used it
oatmeal (I used 2 packets of the plain)
vanilla (just a tad)
I was going to also add flour but again mine was super old (not opened though) but I decided to not bother
honey (not pictured)

As you can tell I am just using what I have on hand and seeing what happens. I am starting it out on high and then will more than likely put it on low.

I buttered the bottom and sides of the crockpot and then added the apples. Cinnamon on top and then brown sugar, vanilla and oats. Then I added some honey on top.

Almost done:

My son's portion in his Spiderman bowl or as he says ciderman:

This turned out yummy but nothing like Apple Crisp. My son really liked it (of course any child likes sweets right?). He probably liked it more than most since he gets sweets maybe once a month if even that much (yes, I'm kind of strict). I definitely think this would be good warm with vanilla ice cream on top. But of course I have the smallest freezer known to man so ice cream is never in there.

Pampers Points

Here is a list of Pampers Gifts to Grow points. It should give you a total of 534 points. These codes do expire but they seem to last way longer than the Huggies points. It does take a lot of points to redeem something but if you have to buy diapers and wipes you might as well get something back from them. Especially since now the Caregivers Market Place no longer offers cash back on Huggies products. Which is very upsetting! I figure I have close to a year on using Pull Ups maybe less if I get lucky and was looking forward to the 75 cents back per pack.

Pampers Gifts to Grow program has changed but they finally got their website working correctly. I recall when they first changed over I not only lost all my points (which they never gave me back) I also was unable to log in for 3 months straight. They also no longer charge shipping aside from Shutterfly items.

I have another giveaway for my readers. This one is from Yoplait and MyBlogSpark.

One lucky reader (who enters) will win the prize pack containing the following: 1 coupon for a free sample of Yoplait Whips! yogurt, a canvas cooler bag and a set of four ice cream cone shaped popsicle molds.

I also received one prize pack and as soon as my son saw it he wanted it! He is actually using the cooler for his lunch bag. It is working out quite nicely. It is nice and roomy for all of his lunch items. I cannot wait to make various frozen treats with the ice cream cone molds. I just have to wait until I have some room in the freezer (I HATE having a small refrigerator/freezer). :(

Did you know that Yoplait Whips has nine flavors : Chocolate Mousse, Chocolate Raspberry, Key Lime Pie, Lemon Burst, Orange Créme, Peaches `N Cream, Raspberry Mousse, Strawberry Mist, and Vanilla Créme? I have tried a few of them myself and have really enjoyed them. I haven't tried them frozen yet but plan to buy some more on Monday when I go to the grocery store. So I will freeze a couple of them and let you all know what I think. I am thinking of freezing the Orange Créme and the Raspberry Mousse one.

Do You Swag?

If not you should!! This is an extremely easy way to get giftcards for places such as Amazon.com. I have already cashed out 10 - $5 giftcards for Amazon.com. I don't even have any referrals either! So this was just from using them as my search engine. I didn't download any toolbars either. Though I believe that is an option to get even more swag points.

CrockPot Sunday - Cheesy Onion Enchilada Casserole

This will hopefully be a regular feature on my blog.

I have been craving cheese and onion enchiladas lately. I desperately miss Don Pablos. I have tried other Mexican places but I have yet to find one that replaces them. :(

I usually make them in the oven but I have to say no matter what I can not get them to turn out like the ones at Don Paublos. No matter if I barely put any sauce on them or no sauce at all they turn out too mushy or turn out too dry (without sauce). Good but mushy. So I decided I will just deal with the mushy!

I have heard that you can make them in your crockpot and decided to try. I realized right away that it would be difficult and very messy to keep them rolled up. So I decided to just got with a casserole type dish.

I wasn't sure how much stuff I would need to make these so I have way more items in the picture than I actually ended up using. I decided to go with corn tortillas since I had a whole bunch leftover. I prefer flour ones but I believe the corn ones are supposed to be better for you (don't quote me on that though lol). I didn't even use the box kit and will save that for another time.

1 - The ingredients. Which I did not end up using the box mix.

2- Me not knowing what I was going for while assembling them.

3 - When in doubt add more cheese.

4- Looks done to me!

5- The end result. Yes, again with the paper plates.

Again I was impressed with how this turned out in the crockpot. It was quite yummy! This is something I will definitely make again. Next time I will add black olives and refried beans to this casserole.

Yoplait Whips Giveaway!!!! Low Entries!!!!!!!

Let us never forget the many who passed on this day. Let us also never forget the brave men and women who risked their lives trying to save and help others on this day.

Here are some amazing and very disturbing photos from that very day. I warn you, they are graphic. They made me cry.
