McDonald's Recall

I told you about the recall here. I wanted to let you know in case you have yet to bring your glasses in that you get $3 each for them. So I went today and took in the 7 glasses I had and walked away with $21. Not too bad considering I paid $14.91 for them. Still sucks about the recall though on so many different levels (ie. the possible health risk we were all exposed to and well, I really liked the glasses etc.).

Pampers Points

Here is a list of Pampers Gifts to Grow points. It should give you a total of 534 points. These codes do expire but they seem to last way longer than the Huggies points. It does take a lot of points to redeem something but if you have to buy diapers and wipes you might as well get something back from them. Especially since now the Caregivers Market Place no longer offers cash back on Huggies products. Which is very upsetting! I figure I have close to a year on using Pull Ups maybe less if I get lucky and was looking forward to the 75 cents back per pack.

Pampers Gifts to Grow program has changed but they finally got their website working correctly. I recall when they first changed over I not only lost all my points (which they never gave me back) I also was unable to log in for 3 months straight. They also no longer charge shipping aside from Shutterfly items.

Oil Spill

I have to say I get a tad ticked off when I think of this for numerous reasons. O.k. tad is an understatement. I can't type how I feel about it cause I would rather not put those type of words on my blog. The whole situation is beyond disturbing and I won't even get into it. But I will say I am beyond annoyed that every time some other country has some sort of crisis we (The United States) runs to their rescue. We have fundraisers, donations, telethons you name it to help them out. But when it comes to our own issues (homeless, jobless etc.) our country nor any other country seems to care or help. This oil spill is going to affect us for life. This isn't going to go away. Our Gulf Beaches will be ruined for pretty much the rest of our lives. How many animals, birds, fish, dolphins you name it have died or will be dying from it?? What about our water supply? Our food supply? This will affect a lot more than people are realizing. I will be looking into how and where to donate so hopefully some of you will try and do your part. I will be donating both my time and my money for this cause and I hope you all will do the same. I am sure most feel that it doesn't matter because they do not live on the Gulf Coast. But it does matter this is devastating on so many levels. This is a huge environmental disaster.

Computer Issues Galore

I am hoping I can convince Bright House to send someone over to replace my modem very soon. I have been having issues pretty much since I got it. But they keep blaming it on my router since it is not theirs (Vonage) yet if I bypass the router (ie. don't use it and only have modem hooked up straight to computer) I still have issues. So it is obviously not the router which I have explained to them for over a year now. It is hard for me to post anything on here or even check my email it is so bad. I might get lucky and be able to use the computer for 15 minutes (if I am lucky - sometimes less than 5 minutes) before it does not work. Sometimes I will have to turn off my computer as soon as I start it cause it does not work.

Let's all cross our fingers that I can get it fixed next week or the following. This week is going to be hectic because I am house/animal sitting and also have to deal with issues at my storage unit (wall is falling apart). But I can not handle paying $48 a month not even being able to use my computer.
