This works out to $4.95 each item. I try to keep clothing prices for my son down to less than $5 each (if possible).
The Fleece Slipper Socks look really comfy (I want a pair for me!!). They are slippers not socks at least from the picture that is how they look. The Monster slippers are really cute!

I am almost done buying clothes for my son for the next year and a half. I just need more shoes (he goes through a pair of shoes about every 2 to 3 months!!!!!!!! - and they look like hell after less than a month!!! - he gets all of the rubber worn off on the toe within 2 to 3 weeks) and some jeans, shorts, t-shirts then I should be all set. Some items from last year will still fit and then some of the new stuff will fit the following year too. But I like to have a lot to choose from so I don't have to do laundry too often since I have to go to a laundry mat. Yuck!

Reminder About Jingle Bucks at Walgreens

It is being posted on various forums on the web that there will more than likely be issues with the Jingle Bucks printing. Oh joy! Right? Grrr. It is looking like they are going to take rather long to print out (I read 2 minutes not sure if that is each or not). Also apparently if the cashier is not aware of this and rings up the next order the Jingle Bucks may get canceled.

Was really looking to get in and out quickly on Thursday but now I am not sure if that will happen. I am hopping they have all of the registers open and I also hope they are aware of this situation and have signs up so this way the other people in line are aware of what the hold up is.

Of course this so far is just hearsay and I hope that is all it is.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Rebate Info for A Christmas Carol and Santa Paws

There are 2 rebates out there that I am aware of for these movies.

The first one is a rebate for $5 when purchasing either Santa Paws or A Christmas Carol and participating Kernal Seasons. Go here for details.

The next one is for $10 when purchasing either movie plus a Butterball Turkey. Go here for details.

There is a good chance you will be able to do both rebates on one movie. You can use a photo copy of your receipt for the Kernal Seasons rebate.

MIA

Sorry for my absenteeism lately. Let's just say I was/am having massive computer issues (still kind of am).

My IE barely works now. Something was wrong with the outside line. Then I have loads of viruses on my computer. Trend Micro House Call virus scan for some reason is not working for me. :( It will do the whole virus scan but when it is finished scanning it goes blank before giving me the option to fix things. I am now using Avast but I notice it slows my computer down really bad. It did supposedly get rid of lots of viruses but who knows. I spent probably a total of 2 hours on the phone with Bright House this past week so now I have no minutes left on my cell phone. :( Also my router no longer works so that means no Vonage phone for me!

Also my son was extremely sick Friday night and made a lovely mess of my carpet and couch. Ick. Luckily he seems to be fine now. :)

It has been a huge nightmare. I don't currently have it in my budget for a new router. I am sure I can get one for cheap ($40?) but there are other things I need and had planned to buy. A router just has not been on my list.

Lots of good sales this week. Looking forward to picking up loads of things on Thanksgiving day at both CVS and Walgreens. I also plan to hit Target tomorrow and hopefully get A Christmas Carol for $14.99 for the BluRay 4 pack. If it is still $29.99 use the $10 off DMR coupon and then use the $5 off in ad coupon. Still more than I would like to spend for it but I don't think I will get it any cheaper.

Well, let's hope my computer issues get resolved asap!!

$10 off Hallmark Coupon

Ooohhhh this is a good one!!! Last year they had a $5 off one and that was wonderful!
FYI - Again this year they have the $5 off one in magazines.

You can go here to print the $10 off coupon for Hallmark stores. Coupon doesn't expire until 12/24/2010!!

Last year I bought really nice wrapping paper (4 rolls I think- I had 2 coupons). I have no clue what I will buy with the $10 coupon yet. I am very excited!

I went and found out my Hallmark store closed. :(

****Please do not be inconsiderate and print more than 2. I have seen on some other boards people are printing 10+. That is extremely rude and is very much so taking advantage of the situation. This is the reason why coupons get pulled etc.

A Christmas Carol - Target - Tuesday

Go here and print your $10 off coupon so you can score "A Christmas Carol" Bluray dvd set for only $19.99 on Tuesday at Target (for the 4 disc set).

This coupon is from Disney Movie Rewards so you will have to log in and/or register. It is free and they seem to always have coupons for movies. Also the codes inside your Disney movies will score you free stuff on their site.

Slow Cooker Sunday - Chili

The weather is rather chilly right now (or it was last week when I made this) so I decided on chili. I love, love making chili in my crockpot (I mean really do you make it any other way?). This is so simple and so yummy.

Ingredients can vary and you can change it up depending on what you have in the house. I make chili so many different ways. Here is todays version!

This time I am using the following:
crumble tofu, corn, baked beans, kidney beans, diced tomatoes, onions, green peppers, seasoning mix. Since I am sick I decided to buy the already cut up onions and green peppers. The less work for me today the better!!

This is so easy to make. Just dice up your veggies, throw everything in the crock pot, mix and cook!!

Looks and smells done to me!

The finished product.

The end result: yummy.

Argh....

I some how totally forgot that yesterday while stopping to pick up a movie (RedBox free code from wags deal) that I noticed that I had coolant leaking. I could tell that there was some sort of leak (thinking a hose) because I could kind of see 3 little spurts of it. I then had an appointment to go to and did not have time to cancel. Then went home and just now remembered. Grrr.

So now with a list of 5 million other things I have to do on Monday (including like 5 loads of laundry - thanks to my son deciding to wet the bed!) I have to some how drop off my vehicle which means I will have to rely on the bus. GASP! I hate the bus. There is no way I can take all that laundry with me on the bus since I have to go to the laundry mat.

Why do things always break down when you have no one to help you? There is no one that will be available to drive me around on Monday since everyone will be at work!!

I will be crossing my fingers that it is just the hose and nothing else. Hoses should be pretty cheap, easy and fast.

Shutterfly Photo Cards for the Holidays

Every since my son was born I now order photo cards every single year. I love being able to send a photo of my son and also have a Christmas card checked off of my list.

I have also bought ones for other holidays and also just everyday occasion cards. I personally prefer the folded cards but I have also bought the non folded flat photo cards.

Shutterfly has so many nice designs to choose from.

As you can see you can choose to put more than one photo on your card like the above collage one.

Or just choose one photo like this one.

Card prices are now starting at .32 cents each (regularly priced starting at .40 cents each). They are currently offering free shipping on orders of $30+ just use the code : SHIP30 at checkout.

You can check out some of the various Christmas designs they have to offer here and here.

They also have photo desk calendars which would make nice gifts. I did this last year for a gift for my father and it was a big hit!

I cannot wait for my son's school to do their holiday photos. They have a photographer come in and take holiday photos of the children. It is normally $20 to $30 for 3 to 4 photos but they allow you to make copies of your photos. They even give you the negatives if they use actual film. This is a huge plus and then throughout the year I can make other photo gifts out of the photos for cheap!! I will be using them for this year's Christmas cards from Shutterfly. I have been able to do this for the last few years. Way cheaper than ordering photo cards from some a professional photo studio that is for sure!

This year I am thinking about going with a simple design like the card above. Of course this depends on what the photos look like this year.

Right now you can get a *free card by using code : CARD4U at checkout. This offer expires November 17th.

*Try one free 5x7 greeting card or 5x7 stationery card.
Offer ends November 17, 2010

Enter code: CARD4U
Taxes, shipping and handling charges will apply.
Limit one per household.

I bought a total of 16 bath towels!! You can not understand how bad I need towels. I personally can not tell you the last time I bought towels. I am in my mid 30's and I think I have only bought maybe 10 towels in my entire life (not including ones my mother had bought for me here and there for Xmas). I am so damn cheap when it comes to towels. So I was like screw it I am buying a crap load of them now and I won't have to buy anymore for like 10 years! lol

Target

I found all sorts of good clearance stuff yesterday.

Halloween was 90% off (candy 75% off). Surprisingly, there were loads of costumes left (FYI -$40 costumes = $4!! at 90% off).

Toddler Circo 4 piece bedding sets were $14.98 original price $29.99. This is the lowest I have seen them at my Target so I went ahead and bought 2 different ones. I didn't want to chance waiting for them to be marked down more and then them not being there.

Here are some of the things I bought:

8 plastic Halloween Pumpkins @ .10 cents each (I saw people use these as planters for Halloween- looked cute)

4 Ceramic Halloween Piggy Banks (2 Frankenstein 2 Witches) @.99 cents each

2 Halloween socks Adults (1 - 2 pack and 1 pair) @.50 cents each

3 Hersheys Pillow Cases @ .48 cents each

1 Light Up Pumpkin Keyring .10 cents

1 Cocktail Halloween Napkins .15 cents

1 Spiderman Plush Pail .80 cents

I didn't get pictures of everything because some things went straight to storage.

My Wags Trips this Saturday

I want to try and roll some of my many RRs to get them to last a tad longer so they will be hopefully, easier to roll for Thanksgiving day. Too many good things to pass up on that day!

I have (4) $5 RRs that I want to roll. I figure I will just buy more Zarbees. Not too happy about having to drive to a whole bunch of different Walgreens today seeing that I am sick but for me it looks slim pickings next week (Sunday) so I want to roll them while I can.

I am hoping for an out of pocket total of $3.96 to get a total of $24 in RRs back which gives me a profit of $20.04!

I will update later after I go to the store and let you know how I did. I need to take a shower and get ready. I slept until like 11:30 this morning! I took Theraflu last night plus the Sinex and a melatonin. I took them all spaced out but yeah, I slept rather good last night. lol Which I needed to because I am sick! :(

Register Rewards are generally good for 2 weeks I want to say so I will have to figure something out. My goal is to have a lot to use on Thanksgiving day for the sale.

Update- I was only able to buy 2. I went to 4 stores and bought the last one at one and then bought another at a different store. Only 2 of the 4 stores had them. My stores do not allow more than one transaction when it comes to RRs or else I could have bought some more at one of the stores. These new RRs expire on the 20th so I still need to roll some RRs to use for 11/25.

O.k. I went to CVS this morning and picked up my copy for $19.99 minus $16 CVS coupon for buying $25 worth of select P&G products. I also used (2) $1 ECBs that were from the green tag scans. Tax was charged on the full amount so I ended up paying way more than I expected $3.25. But of course spending $3.25 on the new Toy Story 3 dvd is not such a bad deal either! And remember I only paid $2.74 for the $25 worth of P&G products which brings my total to a whopping $5.99!!

So for $5.99 I got the following:

Toy Story 3 DVD
Always
3 Puffs
5 Dawn
Nice and Easy
2 Crest

Not too bad huh?

And to make this deal even sweeter I am now going to submit my receipts for the following:

$5 rebate when you buy Toy Story 3 and 3 Disney Campbell's products. I just bought 3 cans of Disney Princess Spaghetti O's for this deal. Yeah, yeah I have a son but he won't care! These are great to have on hand on days you are way too sick to cook!

Spend $50 on P&G products and get a coupon book valued at over $110 in coupons.
It looks like this has to be before coupons and taxes. But I know I have a few receipts to use towards this and I still have some time left. Not sure if they consider ECBs to be coupons? Probably yes, since on the receipt it will say coupon or something. But still I have plenty of receipts to use towards this.

Are you a member of Disney Movie Rewards? If so check your emails for an email with a link to a printable $3 off any Disney/Pixar DVD. This is connected to your account and you will be able to print 2 if you hit your back button (which you can use on whatever movie you want). Unfortunately, this is not a mass email and not everyone got one. I did not. :(

***Sinex is supposably rolling! Which means you can use the RR you got for it and buy it again and get another RR. This usually does not work. Who knows how long this will last before they fix it.

Sadly, I will totally go through all of that Sinex thanks to my work. That place gives me the absolute worst allergies and sinus problems one could imagine. I am definitely in the market for a new job before this one lands me in the hospital! By Friday I am beyond ill and it generally ruins my entire weekend (I am that sick).
