I received this email from Vonage and thought I would pass it along to my readers:
As a valued customer, we wanted you to be among the first to download our new Vonage Mobile™ app for Facebook® . This app allows you to make FREE calls to all your Facebook® friends anywhere in the world, through your iPhone®, iPod touch® or Android™ OS device. All you need is a Wi-Fi or 3G/4G connection. Now you can use Vonage whether you're at home or on the go!
With the Vonage Mobile™ app for Facebook®, you don't even need to know your friend's phone number. Just select their profile and start talking. You can see your friend's profile picture and status so you know what they're up to before you call. You don't need to join a new network - all you need is your Facebook® account. How's that for convenient?
Finally, be sure to tell all your friends to download now since you both need the app to talk for free!
Get the FREE app today and make your voice heard on Facebook®.
Check with your mobile carrier, as data charges may apply.
I am sure some of you would and could totally take advantage of this. I only have one of those cheapy pay as you go phones that is about 7 years old so this won't work for me. I'm not a big phone talker anyways.
For me Vonage is cheaper than having a phone through my cable provider and way cheaper than having it through the phone company. I pay less to have internet through the cable company and my phone through Vonage then having them bundled. So you might want to check it out and see if Vonage is cheaper for you. I admit I am not saving a huge amount that way but I am saving some. Remember every dollar counts!! Also I have never had any issues with Vonage whereas I have had a ton of issues with my internet provider/cable company. They have been blaming my internet problems on my router (because it is not theirs and is from Vonage) which has been going on for close to a year and guess what??? It was their modem (the cable company's not Vonage). So needless to say I am not at all happy with them and am looking into getting a new internet provider. They finally fixed their mistake and brought me a new modem after me complaining for months and months.
**Also Vonage has an annual prepay for $269.99 which works out to be $22.50 a month! Not bad for unlimited phone use and free long distance. I think I am going to switch to that next year after I get my taxes back to save even more.
